Job summary

Orica is seeking a Specialist – Global Logistics in Pasig City, Philippines, to oversee post-fixture shipping activities for voyages and charters, ensuring compliance and efficiency across the voyage lifecycle.

You will collaborate with internal teams and external partners to manage documentation, invoicing, compliance, and reporting while driving cost optimisation and logistics performance.

Qualifications

  • 5+ years’ experience in shipping or logistics with post-fixture exposure.
  • Relevant tertiary qualification in Logistics, Maritime, Business, or related field.
  • Strong understanding of shipping operations, including laytime & post-fixture processes (preferred).
  • Proficiency in SAP and Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint).
  • Highly analytical with a results-driven mindset and strong attention to detail.
  • Strong planning, organisation, and time management skills.
  • Effective communication and stakeholder management with a customer-focused approach.
  • Demonstrated ability to work in fast-paced, operational environments.
  • High integrity, resilience, and adaptability, with a collaborative, team-oriented approach.

Responsibilities

  • Manage end-to-end post-fixture administration for Voyage and Time Charter activities, ensuring charter party compliance.
  • Support the development of shipping procedures and ensure full compliance with Dangerous Goods (IMDG) and regulatory requirements.
  • Coordinate adherence to international maritime, port, and local regulations for safe, compliant shipping.
  • Provide internal quoting and freight verification support, including surveyor coordination, laytime and demurrage calculations, and voyage cost analysis.
  • Ensure accurate documentation, invoicing, and communication with vessel operators, including Dangerous Goods handling.
  • Build and maintain relationships with shipowners, brokers, agents, terminals, and internal stakeholders.

About the role

As a Specialist – Global Logistics, you’ll be part of a global team responsible for supporting the smooth and compliant execution of shipping operations across bulk and liquid products. You’ll play a key role in managing post-fixture activities for chartered vessels, ensuring shipments run efficiently from contract through to final delivery while meeting customer and business expectations.

In this role, you’ll work closely with internal teams and external partners to handle voyage documentation, invoicing, and compliance requirements, while also contributing to reporting and performance insights. Your attention to detail and collaborative approach will help drive efficient, reliable, and high-quality logistics outcomes across the global supply chain.

What you will be doing

Maintain accurate data capture and documentation for all post-fixture shipping activities, ensuring a clear audit trail and effective use of SAP and relevant logistics systems.
  • Drive knowledge management and promote best practice sharing to support continuous improvement in shipping operations.
  • Provide market intelligence on chartering and bulk shipping, supporting benchmarking activities aligned with market conditions and freight trends.
What you will bring
  • 5+ years’ experience in shipping or logistics within relevant industries (e.g. mining, oil & gas, industrial), with strong post-fixture and Dangerous Cargo exposure.
  • Relevant tertiary qualification in Logistics, Maritime, Business, or a related field.
  • Strong understanding of shipping operations, including laytime calculations and post-fixture processes (preferred).
  • Proficiency in SAP and Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint), with experience using logistics/shipping systems.
  • Highly analytical with a results-driven mindset and strong attention to detail.
  • Strong planning, organisation, and time management skills.
