Job summary

QBE Insurance Group in Manila seeks a Senior Technical Lead / Solution Architect to translate business needs into robust infrastructure designs. You will shape solution architectures, align with IT standards, and guide project delivery across cloud and on-premises environments.

Strong stakeholder collaboration, governance, and risk management are essential. Experience in translating requirements, building architectures from defined standards, and evaluating technology options is required.

Qualifications

• Previous experience as a technical lead or solution architect.
• Experience translating business requirements into infrastructure solutions across various technologies.
• Good understanding of project delivery methodologies.
• Experience of building solutions from defined architecture standards and patterns.
• Experience of public cloud platforms and services.
• Some experience in related business and systems.
• Experience as an application developer or business systems analyst in relevant technology.

Responsibilities

• Ensure solutions are aligned with business strategy, IT standards, and constraints.
• Support the creation of solution designs for projects, including dependency analysis.
• Work with the business to ensure project scope and designs are accurately communicated, and support the development of business cases for new projects.
• Maintain an up to date knowledge of market developments to identify and deliver opportunities to leverage existing or emerging technologies and business models which enhance business performance.
• Understand the IT landscape where solutions reside to deliver effective IT solutions that support the business context and meet the broad business needs of QBE
• Review peer solution designs, costs, benefits, and technical designs, and design technical solutions efficiently following processes and procedures.
• Conduct technology assurance and governance aligned with architecture policy.
• Define the approach for structuring each application using appropriate technology solutions.
• Promote adherence to IT Strategy, Architecture Principles, and Roadmaps.
• Identify and assess risks within your subject matter area, lead risk-related dialogue as the SME for that domain, and support stakeholders in making informed, risk-based decisions. Mitigate risks in delivery while keeping to agreed plan and timeframes.
