Job summary

NCS Group in Taguig, Metro Manila is seeking an experienced Solutions Architect to design, develop, and implement scalable software solutions. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams to translate business needs into high‑level architectures and detailed designs, ensuring security, reliability, and performance.

The ideal candidate has 5+ years in software architecture, strong background in PHP/Java/Python/.NET, cloud platforms, and enterprise integration.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in IT, CS, Engineering or related field.
• 5+ years in software development and system architecture.
• 2+ years in web/mobile development.
• OOP and software design expertise.
• Proficiency in PHP, Java, Python or .NET.
• Infrastructure as code experience (Terraform, CloudFormation).
• Web service integration (SOAP/REST/JSON/XML).
• Experience with integration protocols (SMPP, EMIUCP, HTTP).
• Experience with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, Google Cloud).
• Version control (SVN, GIT).
• Strong debugging and optimization skills.
• Proficient with Confluence, Jira, Asana, Trello.

Responsibilities

• Review requirements, design features and architecture estimates.
• Translate requirements into high-level designs and coordinate with stakeholders.

Job description

As Solutions Architect, you will play a critical role in designing, developing, and implementing scalable and robust solutions to address business challenges. Collaborating closely with cross-functional teams, you will leverage your expertise to architect innovative solutions that align with project and technological requirements.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

Requirements Definition and Management

• Participates in proposal generation; i.e. review of the requirement, designing application features and architecture, coming up with the development estimates.
• Translates the user requirements into a high-level application design, and coordinates these specifications with the relevant project stakeholders (e.g. Business Analysts when defining the product features).

Solution Design and Architecture:

• Provides technical solutions for the projects such as Application Architecture, Database Architecture, Infrastructure, Integration, and any other system analysis and design needed.
• Architect end-to-end solutions with detailed designs encompassing system components, interfaces, and integrations to meet business needs, ensuring scalability, reliability, security, and deliverability.

Systems Design, Integration and Build:

• Design system components and implement integration strategies for connecting disparate systems and applications using appropriate techniques and standards.
• Defines software modules, and ensure seamless data flow and interoperability across the solution landscape

Data Modeling and Database Design:

• Applies standard data modeling and design techniques based on detailed requirements.
• Develops relevant physical design elements and maintaining mechanisms for storing and accessing data.

Documentation, Architecture Governance and Collaboration:

• Create and maintain technical documentation, including architecture diagrams, design documents, and implementation guidelines to ensure performance, resiliency, scalability and compliance with security and project requirements.
• Conduct architecture reviews to mitigate risk and ensure adherence to approved technical solutions.
• Review code, designs, and technical deliverables for alignment with architectural principles and quality standards.
• Collaborate with project stakeholders to drive consensus on technical solutions.
• Participates in training, design, documentation, and delivery efforts with the Project Manager.

JOB SPECIFICATIONS:

• Education – Graduate with a Bachelor’s Degree in IT, Computer Science, Engineering or any related course.
• Related Work Experience – At least 5 years of working experience in Software Development, providing technical solutions such as system architecture, infrastructure design, and database structure.
• At least 2 years of experience in software engineer roles such as web and mobile application development.
• Knowledge – In-depth experience, knowledge, and understanding of the following:
• OOP and software design
• Software development languages such as PHP, Java, Python, .NET
• Infra as a Code such as Terraform and Cloud Formation
• Web service integration (SOAP, REST, JSON, XML)
• Any integration protocols such as SMPP, EMIUCP, and HTTP
• Public or social media APIs like google API and others
• Version control (e.g. SVN, GIT).
• Debugging and optimization skills
• Collaboration and documentation tools such as Confluence, Jira, Asana, or Trello
• Cloud Experience in AWS, Azure and Google Cloud is a plus.
• Frameworks such as TOGAF and Zachman is a plus
• Skills:
• Excellent communication skills with the ability to articulate technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
• Demonstrates presentation skills with a high degree of comfort for diverse audiences.
• Must have sound problem resolution, judgment, analytical and decision-making.
