Job summary

Yondu, Inc. in the Philippines is seeking an experienced Solutions Architect to design and guide end-to-end software solutions for rapid delivery.

You will work with cross-functional teams to translate business needs into scalable architectures using Java, Spring, Hibernate ORM, and modern cloud platforms. You will create LLD from HLD, set architecture standards, and mentor squads while optimizing costs, performance, and reliability across distributed services.

Qualifications

• Ability to design complex, scalable, and high-performance system architectures tailored to meet business needs.
• Strong analytical mindset to identify problems, evaluate alternatives, and recommend the most effective solution.
• Proficiency in cloud computing platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP)
• Strong background in programming languages (Java, Python, C#) and frameworks for building scalable, maintainable solutions
• Knowledge of enterprise integration patterns, service-oriented architecture (SOA), and RESTful services
• Knowledge in designing and implementing microservices-based architectures
• Familiarity with DevOps practices (CI/CD, infrastructure as code, automation tools) to optimize delivery pipelines.
• Strong understanding of relational (e.g., MySQL, PostgreSQL) and NoSQL (e.g., MongoDB)
• In-depth knowledge of cybersecurity practices, including identity management, encryption, and vulnerability assessments
• Expertise in designing cost-efficient solutions while maximizing performance, scalability, and reliability
• Experienced in guiding cross-functional teams in a fast-paced, agile environment
• Hands-on experience on at least two or more of the following areas
• Public Cloud: AWS, GCP, Azure, Alicloud (priority - AWS and AliCloud experience)

Responsibilities

• Creates low-level design (LLD) from the high-level design (HLD) and architecture blueprint, using reusable assets from Centers of Enablement (C4E)
• Serves as the technical authority on projects for the squad, guiding the development team through the defined architecture principles and standards.
• Co-design with cross-functional teams encompassing PEDG to develop a user-centric experience (UI/UX) and a solution that effectively addresses user demands.
• Collaborate with Technical PM, Cloud Engineers, Software Engineers, and Test Leads in the delivery of the solution.
• Define and maintain development practices and standards that let us deliver quality software faster.
• Work with Product Managers, Developers, and Business owners to review, evaluate, and document current business and data models.
• Evaluate tools and technologies that we can use to reduce platform and operational costs, improve productivity, performance, and overall quality of our product.
• Work with engineering leads in designing and implementing scalable, resilient system architectures, utilizing Java/GO, Spring framework, Hibernate ORM, and other relevant technologies.
• Collaborate with other team members to craft quality technical solutions.
• Work with enterprise architects to define architectural blueprint
• Develop and plan programs to educate teams on building high performance distributed services.
