We're a solar installation company serving residential and commercial customers, in search of a proactive and highly organized Solar Operations Coordinator to own the administrative and operational backbone of our business. In this role, you'll handle permitting, utility interconnection applications, and third-party ownership paperwork, coordinate service and warranty requests, and stand up the systems that keep our projects moving. We want a genuine self-starter who takes initiative, thrives in a fast-paced environment, and can bring order to complex, moving parts with minimal hand-holding.
Prepare and submit solar permit applications to local building departments and authorities having jurisdiction (AHJs)
Complete, submit, and track utility interconnection applications with the relevant utility providers
Handle third-party ownership (TPO) paperwork, including leases and power purchase agreements (PPAs) with financing partners
Coordinate service and warranty requests, including scheduling and follow-up with customers and installation crews
Set up and configure a CRM from the ground up to organize leads, projects, and customer records
Keep project documentation accurate and all applications, approvals, and records current
Back marketing efforts that help generate and nurture leads
Document existing workflows and build standard operating procedures (SOPs) for recurring tasks
Spot gaps proactively and suggest improvements across day-to-day operations
Proven experience in administrative or operations support
Comfort handling detailed paperwork, applications, and government or regulatory forms
Strong ability to learn and navigate online portals and application systems quickly
Experience setting up or managing a CRM
Excellent organizational skills and meticulous attention to detail
A true self-starter who takes initiative and works independently with minimal supervision
Dependable, detail-focused, and able to work independently
Strong written and verbal communication skills
Experience in the solar, renewable energy, or construction industry
Familiarity with solar permitting, utility interconnection, or third-party ownership (TPO) paperwork
Experience coordinating service, warranty, or after-sales support
Marketing experience (social media, email, or lead generation)
Able to document processes and build SOPs from scratch
Able to manage multiple projects and priorities at once
