Job summary

Qualifications

• 3–5 years of backend software engineering experience with a bachelor's degree in Computer Science or a related field.
• Hands-on Python experience with backend services and AI/agent frameworks.
• Experience designing and building APIs, including REST and GraphQL.
• Expertise with AuthN/AuthZ concepts like OAuth2, OIDC, JWT, token exchange, and mTLS.
• Familiarity with API gateways or integration platforms and microservices architecture.
• Exposure to MCP, Kafka, Spark, Flink, Redis, identity management, and Docker/Kubernetes deployments.
• Self-motivated, responsible, and strong communicator.

Responsibilities

• Design, build, and maintain backend services and APIs for enterprise AI initiatives.
• Develop and enhance Model Context Protocol servers, integrating tools and data sources into the agent ecosystem.
• Implement AuthN/AuthZ frameworks (OAuth2/OIDC, token exchange, mTLS) to secure MCP servers and traffic.
• Develop Python-based services and integrate with AI/agent orchestration frameworks.
• Govern API gateway platforms, manage MCP servers, agents, and orchestration workflows.
• Collaborate with architects, security, and platform teams to translate governance requirements into infrastructure solutions.

Seeking a Software Engineer II to join the AI enablement team and develop backend services supporting enterprise AI initiatives. Responsibilities include MCP server development, AuthN/AuthZ frameworks, API governance, and orchestration platforms. This role offers real ownership of production systems and opportunities to gain expertise in a rapidly evolving area of enterprise software.

As a Software Engineer II, you will be responsible for:

• Designing, building, and maintaining backend services and APIs supporting enterprise agentic AI initiatives.
• Developing and enhancing Model Context Protocol servers, incorporating internal and external tools and data sources into the agent ecosystem.
• Implementing AuthN/AuthZ frameworks (OAuth2/OIDC, token exchange, mTLS) to secure MCP servers, agents, and LLM traffic effectively.
• Developing Python-based services and integrating with agentic or LLM orchestration frameworks as project needs evolve.
• Governing enterprise API gateway platforms, managing MCP servers, agents, LLM usage, and implementing orchestration workflows using appropriate enterprise tools.
• Collaborating with architects, security, and platform teams to transform AI governance requirements into functional infrastructure solutions.

• Demonstrate 3 to 5 years of backend software engineering experience with a bachelor's degree in Computer Science or a related field.
• Possess hands-on experience in Python, with the ability to work across backend services and AI/agent frameworks.
• Demonstrate experience in designing and building APIs, including REST and GraphQL integration.
• Demonstrate expertise with AuthN/AuthZ concepts like OAuth2, OIDC, JWT, token exchange, and mTLS, applying them in practical systems.
• Show expertise with API gateways or integration platforms, understanding microservices architecture alongside the core principles of distributed systems.
• Have exposure to MCP, event streaming platforms like Kafka, Spark, Flink, Redis, identity management, and cloud deployments using Docker/Kubernetes.
• Be self-motivated, highly responsible, and have good communication skills
