Job summary

Akamai Technologies GmbH is seeking an experienced Network Administrator II to own and optimize our global data network infrastructure. You will manage corporate network infrastructure and support operations across regions.

You will troubleshoot and maintain complex wired and wireless networks, configure routers and switches, and act as the technical PoC for Bangalore while providing weekend on-call support.

Qualifications

• ?Have 5 yrs of relevant experience with Bachelor's or its or equivalent.
• ?Configure and manage Cisco, Fortigate, and Juniper with practical, hands-on experience across various systems and environments.
• ?Demonstrate good experience in experience configuring and managing Routers, Switches and Firewalls
• ?Have experience in maintaining complex and large networks and Data centers.
• ?Have experience in wired and wireless Ethernet networking technologies (VLANs, Dot1x, Spanning Tree etc.) and network security.
• ?Demonstrate proficiency with routing protocols and related technologies - OSPF,BGP, SD-WAN.
• ?Have understanding of network applications, protocols and client-based networking with systems running Windows, Mac OSX, or Linux.
• ?Possess understanding of end-to-end data flows and traffic patterns (wireshark).Be CCNP / JNCIPcertified

Responsibilities

• Providing on-going administration and support of Corporate Network Infrastructure (Cisco/Fortinet/Juniper/Aruba/F5/ClearPass).
• Troubleshooting wired and wireless Ethernet networking technologies (including VLANs, Dot1x,Spanning Tree, Port Channeling, 802.11abgn, etc.).
• Maintaining proactive and timely communication with customers via multiple mediums (tickets, calls, walk-ups, IM).
• Ensuring effective, self initiated monitoring and configuration/change management is maintained for all systems and networks.
• Using system resource utilization and monitoring tools to identify potential problem areas before they result in incidents.
• Providing weekend support on rotating on-call schedule and leading support operations while being technical PoC for Bangalore

As a Network Administrator II, you will be responsible for:
