Job summary

Akamai is seeking an Enterprise Architect to join our Global Services Cloud Solutions team, shaping cloud transformations and delivering Akamai Compute Solutions for enterprise workloads.

You will collaborate with account teams, design service-oriented architectures and APIs, guide customers through implementation, and establish technical leadership in cloud computing and Linode services across a multinational client base.

Qualifications

• 6–10 years of experience in architecture, implementation and strategy for cloud-based applications.
• Experience with IaaS and containers in large-scale environments.
• Expertise in architecting complex IaaS solutions with certifications from AWS, GCP or Azure.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with account teams to support cloud opportunities and drive customer success.
• Design and implement Akamai Compute Solutions, SOA, APIs, and web services for enterprise challenges.
• Establish technical thought leadership in cloud computing and Linode services.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams across Akamai's cloud compute, security and delivery stacks.

You will play a key role in the customer solution lifecycle, supporting success teams in defining Cloud/Linode solutions. Guide customers through strategic and technical aspects of Cloud transformations with a focus on implementation. Deliver valuable application outcomes using Akamai Cloud Compute products and services. Additionally, serve as a thought leader in cloud computing within and beyond Akamai.

As an Enterprise Architect, you will be responsible for:

• Collaborating with account teams to support cloud opportunities, ensuring lasting customer success through Linode service adoption and client engagement.
• Analyzing and breaking down application components while utilizing modern cloud technologies to create scalable, efficient solutions.
• Facilitating the design and implementation of Akamai Compute Solutions, service-oriented architectures, APIs, and web services to solve complex enterprise challenges.
• Establishing technical thought leadership in cloud computing and Linode services to promote Akamai's business growth strategies.
• Cross-Functional Collaboration: Partner with teams across Akamai's cloud compute, security, and delivery technology stacks to develop solutions for enterprise workloads.

To be successful in this role you will:

• Have experience with cloud-based applications for 6 to 10 years in architecture, implementation, and strategy within large-scale systems.
• Align IT investments and services with organizational goals and broader business strategies while evaluating their effectiveness.
• Have a Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, MIS, or related field, or equivalent practical experience.
• Demonstrate expertise in technical roles at cloud software organizations or public cloud environments with customer-focused responsibilities.
• Have expertise in architecting complex IaaS solutions with relevant certifications from AWS, GCP, or Azure.
• Gain experience in cloud domains, including IaaS, containers, Kubernetes, CI/CD pipelines, and open-source tools like Kafka, Redis, ELK stack.
• Collaborate effectively with channel partners, systems integrators, third-party developers, and internal teams within extensive enterprise environments.
• Demonstrate exceptional written, verbal, and presentation skills, effectively conveying technical content to varied audiences.
