Job summary

Google Inc. in the Philippines seeks software engineers to join the Google Ads platform, tackling large-scale challenges across back-end systems and AI-powered solutions. You will contribute to high-throughput pipelines, improve ad quality, and protect user safety while collaborating with research and AI teams.

You will design, implement, test, and deploy robust services using C++, Java, Python, and Go, with opportunities to switch teams as the platform grows.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent practical experience in computer science or related technical field.
• 2 years of software development experience in one or more programming languages (C++, Java, Python or Go).
• 2 years of experience with data structures and algorithms.
• 2 years of experience with back-end development.
• Experience with two or more of: web app development, Unix/Linux environments, distributed systems, networking, large software systems, security software development.

Responsibilities

• Dive deep into high-throughput advertising systems and legacy code to improve performance and reliability.
• Lead full software development lifecycle from design to deployment in production environments.
• Diagnose critical issues and bottlenecks to ensure data integrity and seamless user experience.
• Develop and scale advertising solutions balancing performance and privacy standards.
• Utilize back-end technologies and infrastructure including C++, Java, Python, Go, and data tools for large-scale analysis.
