Job summary

DTN is seeking a passionate Software Developer in Test (SDET) to join one of our product teams. You will help define test strategy, build automated tests, and ensure product quality ahead of deployments.

You will work with Devs and cross-functional teams, using Playwright, Pytest, and CI/CD practices to deliver robust, scalable testing across REST services and front-end apps.

Qualifications

• Experience in Agile testing environments and BDD practices.
• Proficient in testing REST services, Web & Mobile apps.
• Strong programming knowledge and test automation mindset.
• Experience with Playwright and Page Object Model design patterns.
• Proficiency with Pytest and Pytest BDD frameworks.
• Experience with Gherkin feature files and step definitions.
• Familiar with TDD and API testing (Postman).
• Interest in automation over manual testing; able to collaborate with developers.

Job Description:

We seek a passionate and versatile Software Developer in Test (SDET) interested in building innovative and evolving products with one of DTN’s product teams. We’re growing and looking for strong individuals interested in working on multi-disciplined teams in a collaborative and open environment. You’ll have opportunities to play key roles in product planning, design, prototyping, and execution.

What you will be responsible for:

• Provide quality engineering leadership on one or more decentralized scrum teams accountable for delivering on sprint goals including defining test strategy and collaborating cross-functionally.
• Develop and execute complex functional and automated tests by taking a risk-based approach, using available testing processes and tools.
• Ensure quality of product prior to code deployment.
• Participates in the enhancement of automated tools and maintains automated regression suite.
• Collaborates effectively with technical and non-technical stakeholders to analyze, debug, and resolve issues.
• Drive initiatives across the department to closure.
• Serves as a mentor for new employees.

What you will bring to the role:

• Proficient knowledge in Agile Testing methodologies in an Agile environment, particularly Behavior Driven Development (BDD) practice.
• 2+ years of experience in testing REST Service, Web & Mobile App.
• Proficient programming Knowledge
• Experience with Playwright
• Experience with Page Object Model design patterns
• 2+ years of experience with Pytest and Pytest BDD Frameworks
• Experience with writing Gerkin feature files and step definitions files
• Experience with TDD
• Experience with API testing (Postman)
• Interest in automation testing over manual but still have a strong manual skill set
• Being able to work side by side with Devs

Desired Technical Skills

• Gitlab or CI/CD background ability to create and manage GitLab pipelines and knowledge with CI/CD features like triggers, jobs and artifacts.
• Experience with Docker containers, and images. Ability to build and run images along with experience working with Dockerfiles and Docker compose.
• Experience with PyCharm
• Experience with JMeter
• Experience Debugging and troubleshooting
• Strong Analytical and problem-solving knowledge
• Strong to Excellent Communication and teamwork skills.
• Familiarity or experience with React and/or JavaScript

The targeted hiring base pay range for this position is between PHP 78,333 and PHP 104,500 monthly.

DTN is a pay-for-performance organization, which means there is the opportunity to advance your compensation with performance over time. The actual base pay offered for this position will be dependent upon many factors, including but not limited to: prior work experiences, training/education, transferable skills, business needs, internal equity, and applicable laws. The targeted hiring base pay range is subject to change and may be modified in the future. This role may also be eligible for market-competitive variable pay and benefits.
