Job summary

Coforge is seeking an experienced QA Engineer/SDET to lead test strategy development, focusing on manual and automated testing to ensure software quality.

You will develop automated scripts, perform root-cause analysis, and collaborate with software teams to define regression criteria, while mentoring junior team members and supporting CI/CD pipelines for scalable, robust releases.

Qualifications

• 4-6 years of experience as QA Engineer or SDET.
• Hands-on experience with Java and Selenium.
• Designing, implementing, and running test cases.
• Working with test processes, methodologies, tools, and technology.
• Performing functional and UI testing, quality reporting.
• Knowledge of software engineering practices and agile approaches.
• Proficiency in CI/CD integration and pipeline development in Jenkins or other similar tools.
• Experience in Gherkin (BDD) using Cucumber.
• Experience using JIRA, ALM, Xray, or any relevant test management tool.
• Willingness to take challenges head-on while being part of a team.
• Proficiency in UI automation (Serenity/Selenium, Playwright).
• Experience developing utilities using Java, Python, or any scripting languages.
• Strong understanding of RESTful APIs and experience with API testing tools like Postman, Rest Assured.
• Knowledge or Experience with containerization technologies (e.g. Docker) and cloud platforms (e.g. AWS, Azure) is a plus.
• Exposure to performance testing tools such as JMeter is a plus.
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills to work effectively across cross-functional teams.

• Participate in code reviews and provide feedback on testability and quality aspects of the codebase.

• Collaborate with DevOps to ensure test environments are stable, scalable, and aligned with CI/CD pipelines.
