Job summary

You will collaborate with business users, developers, and project teams through testing and implementation, plan and execute test scenarios, UAT, and defect tracking, and prepare testing reports.

Qualifications

Job Summary

We are looking for a Software Application Tester who will be responsible for validating software applications, business processes, and system enhancements to ensure they meet functional and business requirements. The role will work closely with business users, developers, project teams, and other stakeholders throughout the testing and implementation lifecycle.

Key Responsibilities

• Review business and system requirements to identify testing needs and validation criteria.

• Develop and execute test scenarios, test cases, and test scripts based on business requirements and system specifications.

• Plan and facilitate User Acceptance Testing (UAT) activities with business users and stakeholders.

• Validate system functionality, workflows, data accuracy, and business process requirements.

• Identify, document, prioritize, and monitor defects through resolution.

• Perform functional, regression, integration, and user validation testing for system enhancements and new implementations.

• Coordinate with developers and project teams to investigate issues and validate fixes.

• Assist in preparing test documentation, testing reports, issue logs, and UAT sign-off materials.

• Support system implementation and process validation activities, including requirements review, testing, and deployment readiness.

• Participate in Agile ceremonies and collaborate with cross-functional teams throughout the software development lifecycle.

• Provide testing updates, communicate risks and issues, and coordinate testing schedules with stakeholders.

• Assist in improving testing procedures, documentation, and quality assurance practices.

• Support testing of HRIS, payroll, timekeeping, and other business applications, as applicable.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Business Administration, Human Resource Management, or a related field.

• At least 2 years of experience in software testing, business operations, process validation, system implementation, or a related function.

• Hands-on experience in UAT planning, test execution, defect tracking, and issue management.

• Strong understanding of business processes, test scenarios, and user validation activities.

• Good analytical and problem-solving skills with strong attention to detail.

• Excellent communication and coordination skills, with the ability to work effectively with technical and non-technical stakeholders.

• Experience working in Agile/Scrum environments is an advantage.

• Familiarity with HRIS, Payroll, and Timekeeping systems is highly preferred.

• Experience with automated testing tools is an advantage.

• Knowledge of software development and testing lifecycles is preferred.

• Proficiency in preparing test documentation, reports, and other project-related materials.
