Job summary

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or higher in IT, business administration, HRM, or related field.
• 2+ years of experience in software testing, QA, or system implementation projects.
• Experience with UAT planning, execution, and issue management.
• Strong understanding of business process validation and test case execution.
• Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement skills.

Responsibilities

• Review and understand business requirements, functional specifications, and processes to develop test scenarios and test cases.
• Prepare and execute UAT activities based on requirements and acceptance criteria.
• Perform functional and system testing to validate application functionality and processes.
• Create and maintain test scenarios, test cases, scripts, and documentation.
• Execute test cases and record results and observations accurately.
• Identify, document, track, and manage defects through resolution with developers and analysts.

• Assist in troubleshooting and analyzing issues during testing and implementation.

Software Application Tester

Job Description:

We are looking for a detail-oriented and analytical Software Application Tester to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for validating software applications to ensure they meet business requirements, functional specifications, and quality standards. The role will work closely with business users, developers, business analysts, and other stakeholders throughout the testing and implementation process.

Key Responsibilities:

• Review and understand business requirements, functional specifications, and business processes to develop appropriate test scenarios and test cases.
• Prepare and execute User Acceptance Testing (UAT) activities based on defined requirements and acceptance criteria.
• Perform functional and system testing to validate application functionality and business processes.
• Create and maintain test scenarios, test cases, test scripts, and test documentation.
• Execute test cases and accurately record test results and observations.
• Identify, document, track, and manage software defects and issues through resolution.
• Work closely with developers, business analysts, and stakeholders to investigate and resolve identified issues.
• Conduct regression testing to ensure that system changes and fixes do not negatively impact existing functionality.
• Validate system outputs and ensure that applications meet business and user requirements.
• Coordinate with business users during user validation and UAT activities.
• Assist in troubleshooting and analyzing application issues encountered during testing and implementation.
• Support system implementation, deployment, and post-implementation validation activities.
• Prepare testing status reports and communicate testing progress, issues, risks, and results to relevant stakeholders.
• Ensure testing activities and deliverables are completed within agreed timelines.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's Degree in Information Technology, Business Administration, Human Resource Management, or any related field.
• Minimum of two (2) years of experience in business operations, software testing, process validation, or system implementation projects.
• Experience or exposure to UAT planning, execution, and issue management.
• Strong understanding of:

• Experience in documenting and tracking software defects/issues.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.

Preferred/Advantageous:

• Experience in HRIS, ERP, or enterprise business applications.
• Experience supporting software implementation or system enhancement projects.
• Familiarity with Agile and/or Waterfall development methodologies.
• Knowledge of software testing processes and Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC).
• Experience using issue/defect tracking tools such as Jira, Azure DevOps, or similar platforms.
