Job summary

Zohorecruit in Metro Manila is seeking a QA Tester to join the software quality assurance team. The role focuses on test planning, creating detailed test cases, and performing comprehensive functional and UAT testing across web, mobile, APIs, and integrations.

Responsibilities include regression and integration testing, defect tracking and retesting, production validation, root cause analysis, and supporting releases. Bachelor’s degree and 1–2 years QA experience required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Software Engineering, or a related field.
• 1–2 years of experience in software QA/testing; or equivalent.
• Knowledge of software testing principles and QA processes.
• Experience in functional, regression, integration, and system testing.
• Ability to create and execute test cases and test scenarios.
• Familiarity with defect/bug tracking tools such as Jira, Azure DevOps, or similar platforms.

Responsibilities

• Test Planning & Test Case Creation – develop comprehensive test scenarios, testcases, and acceptance criteria from requirements.
• Functional & UAT Testing – perform end-to-end testing of web and mobile apps, back office systems, APIs/integrations, and new features.
• Regression Testing – validate that new deployments and bug fixes do not impact existing functionality.
• Integration Testing – validate integrations between internal systems, payment providers, APIs, and third-party services.
• Bug Identification & Reporting – identify, reproduce, and document defects with steps and evidence.
• Defect Tracking & Retesting – coordinate with developers, monitor progress, validate fixes, and retest before closure.
• Production Validation – conduct post-deployment checks to ensure features work in production.
• Issue Investigation & Root Cause Coordination – investigate reported issues and coordinate with teams to identify root causes.
• Test Documentation & Reporting – maintain testing docs, UAT results, defect reports, and status updates.
• Cross-Team Coordination – coordinate with Developers, Product/Business, Operations, Customer Service, Payment Teams, and external providers.
• Release & Go-Live Support – support deployments, releases, migrations, and pre/post-deployment validation.

• Test Planning & Test Case Creation – Able to prepare comprehensive test scenarios, testcases, and acceptance criteria based on business and system requirements.
