Job summary

Ascendion is seeking a detail-oriented Manual Tester to review requirements, design test scenarios, and execute tests across Functional, SIT, Regression, and UAT in the Philippines.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, IT or related field.
• At least 3 years of manual software testing and QA experience.
• Strong knowledge of STLC and testing methodologies.
• Experience in E2E, SIT, Regression and UAT testing.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving and communication skills.
• Ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks.
• Experience in test documentation, defect tracking and reporting.
• Knowledge of automation concepts is a plus.

We are looking for a detail-oriented Manual Tester with strong experience in software testing and quality assurance. The ideal candidate will be responsible for reviewing requirements and project documentation, designing and executing test scenarios and test cases, and ensuring the delivery of high-quality applications across Functional, SIT, Regression, and UAT phases.

Key responsibilities

• Review business requirements, specifications, user documentation, and project documents to develop effective test plans and test cases.

• Create test scenarios and test cases in collaboration with the Business Analyst and project team.

• Execute Functional, System Integration Testing (SIT), Regression Testing, and support User Acceptance Testing (UAT).

• Identify, document, track, and validate defects while coordinating with development and business teams for resolution.

• Ensure adequate test coverage and compliance with quality standards.

• Provide accurate estimates and regular status updates on testing activities.

• Document test scripts with clear comments and logic for reference and maintainability.

• Participate in troubleshooting, defect triage, and root cause analysis.

• Contribute innovative ideas and process improvements to enhance testing efficiency and quality.

• Work independently while effectively collaborating with cross-functional teams.
