About the role
Builds and runs TV5 Entertainment’s social media channels as the always-on home of its shows, stars, and fandoms. The role creates native content every day, grows and mobilizes fan communities, and turns social reach into monetizable inventory and branded content.
Key responsibilities
A. Social Strategy & Programming
- Define the role of each platform (e.g., Facebook for reach and video monetization, TikTok for discovery, Instagram for star presence, X for live conversation, Threads, and YouTube Shorts in coordination with the YouTube team) and run a daily programming grid.
- Lead live social coverage of episodes, finales, mediacons, and events, including real-time posting, trending hashtag campaigns, and live sessions.
B. Native Content Creation & Ideation
- Lead the ideation and production of native short-form content: trend adaptations for TV5 shows, talent challenges, behind-the-scenes, reaction content, memes, fan-favorite moment edits, and live sessions, with fast turnaround.
- Write in a voice that fits Filipino audiences (Filipino, English, and Taglish) and ensure every post is platform-native, not a repurposed TV asset.
C. Community & Fandom Management
- Build the fandom architecture for TV5 shows and stars: engagement with official fan clubs and fan groups, fan activations, fan events, and user-generated content campaigns.
- Lead social listening, comment moderation, and issue escalation; coordinate crisis response with Corporate Communications and talent camps.
D. Talent Social Integration
- Coordinate with talents and their managers on collaborations, takeovers, cross-posting, and launch calendars; maintain talent social guidelines.
E. Monetization
- Grow revenue from platform monetization programs and deliver branded content and sponsored social executions with the Business Growth Partner and Commercial team, keeping executions brand-safe and native to each platform.
- Track revenue and cost per format and per platform, and recommend where to invest.
F. Performance & Team Leadership
- Monitor and analyze performance with Analytics; report KPIs and insights to the Head, Digital Content and Programming; optimize posting, formats, and campaigns.
- Lead social producers, community managers, freelancers, and agencies.

- A portfolio of high-performing or viral entertainment content that the candidate personally ideated and produced.

- Able to shoot, edit, and write content personally when needed.
- Bachelor’s degree in Communications, Journalism, Marketing, Digital Media, Multimedia Arts, Advertising, or a related field.
- Equivalent industry credentials (a strong portfolio of produced, published, or showrun entertainment content) may be considered in lieu of a specific degree.
