Job summary

NRI Australia & New Zealand is seeking a Data Engineer to support Snowflake‑based data platforms in a managed services environment. You will provide Level 2/3 support, monitor pipelines, diagnose incidents, and contribute to governance, security, and continuous improvement.

You will collaborate with client stakeholders, perform root cause analysis, and help automate operational tasks while upholding change controls and service levels.

Qualifications

• Strong hands‑on experience supporting Snowflake data platforms, including troubleshooting pipelines, transformations and downstream data issues.
• Advanced SQL capability to develop, refine and support data transformations and operational fixes.
• Solid understanding of data engineering concepts: ingestion, orchestration, data quality, performance tuning and platform dependencies.
• Proven incident and problem management skills with ability to investigate root causes and implement permanent fixes.
• Working knowledge of Snowflake security and governance, including access control and least-privilege principles.

Responsibilities

• Provide Level 2 and Level 3 support for Snowflake-based data platforms, data pipelines and integrations per service levels and procedures.
• Monitor platform availability, warehouse utilisation, job execution, pipeline performance and data quality to preempt issues.
• Investigate and resolve incidents, service requests and data issues across ingestion, transformation, storage and downstream layers.
• Perform root cause analysis for complex or high-impact incidents and implement permanent fixes to improve stability.
• Participate in on-call, escalation and major incident processes as required.
