Job summary

Apex Group is hiring a Data Engineer to own and evolve the Snowflake data warehouse, overseeing schemas, views and environments. You will build pipelines between Oracle, Snowflake, and client data warehouses, applying Row Level Security and delivering client-ready exports and visualizations.

You will design client-specific data objects, optimize pipelines and ensure security, governance and cross-team collaboration across geographies.

Qualifications

• At least 4 years of data engineering experience in SaaS/consultancy or data-intensive environments.
• Strong Snowflake administration, schema/view design, performance optimization and security.
• Experience with relational databases (Oracle/SQL Server/PostgreSQL) and data pipelines.
• Experience with Data Lakes (Azure Data Lake) and other cloud data warehouses (Azure Synapse).
• Proficient in SQL and Python; knowledge of Scala/Java is a plus.
• Experience with ETL/ELT tools (Azure Data Factory, Fivetran, Stitch).
• Knowledge of messaging systems (Azure Service Bus, Kafka, RabbitMQ).
• Experience with cloud workflow services and event scheduling (Azure Functions, Logic Apps).
• Experience connecting data warehouses to visualization tools and implementing Row Level Security for multi-tenant dashboards.

Responsibilities

• Manage, develop and optimise the Holtara Snowflake data warehouse, including schemas, views, tables and environments.
• Build and maintain data pipelines between Oracle, Snowflake and client-specific warehouses.
• Design and build client-specific Snowflake tables/views with Row Level Security per client and connect to exports/visualizations.
• Determine appropriate data engineering tools and patterns to meet requirements.
• Prepare and expose data for exports and APIs.
• Identify improvements to move from weekly to same-day data delivery via efficient pipelines.
• Document, support and maintain the modern data platform and ensure security/access compliance.
• Guide downstream data consumers (analysts, product, data services, clients).
• Comply with company policies, especially data security and access-control standards.
