Job summary

HTS Corporation in Laguna, Philippines, seeks an experienced SMT Engineer to oversee the SMT assembly line, optimize processes, and drive quality improvements in electronics manufacturing.

You will calibrate and maintain advanced placement equipment, analyze production data, resolve defects, and collaborate with design and QA teams to introduce new products while ensuring compliance and high yield.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, or a related field
• 2–5 years experience in SMT manufacturing or related fields
• Proficiency with SMT machines, soldering processes, automated optical inspection (AOI), and simulation/design software
• Ability to interpret production data, perform root cause analysis, and implement corrective actions
• Detect defects, ensure component polarity and value accuracy, and maintain high-quality standards
• Identify issues in the assembly process and propose effective solutions

Responsibilities

• Manage the SMT assembly process, including solder paste printing, component placement, and reflow soldering, ensuring efficient and high-quality production
• Set up, calibrate, and maintain SMT machines, including advanced placement machines, and troubleshoot operational issues
• Inspect finished PCBs for defects, perform tests, and ensure products meet industry standards
• Analyze production data, identify trends, and implement improvements to reduce defects and increase yield
• Assess new components and processes, ensuring compatibility and reliability in assembly
• Maintain process documentation, work instructions, and reports for compliance and continuous improvement
• Work closely with design, quality assurance, and production teams to integrate new products and resolve issues
• Guide production staff on best practices and proper use of SMT equipment
