Job summary

onsemi in the Philippines seeks a Plating Process Engineer to oversee and optimize chemical and electroplating operations, manage bath chemistry, and control current and temperature to improve yields and ensure safety and environmental compliance.

You will lead process improvements, troubleshoot yield losses and defects using SPC and FMEA, qualify new lines, and support NPI efforts with strict adherence to RoHS/REACH requirements.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Chemical Engineering or related field.
• Knowledge of electroplating, electroless plating, etching, and wet chemistry.
• Experience with SPC, DOE, and Six Sigma methodologies.

Responsibilities

• Process optimization: adjust bath formulas, voltage, and cycle times to achieve uniform metal thickness and prevent defects.
• Troubleshooting: lead root cause analysis for yield losses, defects, or equipment failures using SPC and FMEA.
• Quality & compliance: monitor safety standards and environmental regulations (RoHS/REACH).
• New Product Introduction (NPI): qualify new plating lines, materials, or equipment setups.
