Job summary

Maybank is seeking an SME Officer to market bank products, generate profitable client portfolios, and identify opportunities from referred clients. The role involves preparing tailored packages and promoting ongoing business relationships through client visits and coordinated credit processes.

The ideal candidate will have SME account experience, ability to present to Credit Committee, and proficiency with Windows tools. Willingness to travel to provincial areas is required.

Qualifications

• Experience in handling SME accounts for at least 1 year.
• Experience in packaging proposals and presenting to Credit Committee.
• Proficient in Windows-based programs (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
• Willing to travel frequently to provincial areas.

Responsibilities

• Generate high-quality, income-generating portfolios.
• Scout potential clients from branch referrals and perform client calls.
• Identify business opportunities and design profitable account packages.
• Conduct client visits solo or with supervisors and phone clients per bank standards.
• Request property appraisal and/or credit investigation from CAS and review reports.
• Ensure overall creditworthiness before presenting to approving body.
• Prepare Accommodation reports in coordination with RSCC and LAD.
• Package credit proposals per bank, BSP, and regulatory guidelines.

Your Impact

• Scouts for potential clients from branch referrals, performs client calls and project visits
• Identifies every business opportunity from each referred client and designs package that will ensure optimum profitability of the account and promotes further business relationship
• Conducts client visits alone or jointly with supervisor or proposing Branch Manager and/or phones clients in accordance with bank standards
• Requests the property appraisal and/or credit investigation of the potential client and checks the appraisal and/or credit investigation reports prepared by CAS.
• Ensures that overall creditworthiness of account is established before presentation to the approving body.
• Prepares Application for Accommodation report in coordination with RSCC and LAD.
• Packages credit proposals in accordance with the guidelines of the bank, BSP and other regulatory agencies.

Your Profile

• Experience in handling SME/Small & Medium Enterprises Accounts for at least 1 year
• Has an experience in packaging proposal and presentation to Credit Committee
• Proficient in Windows based programs (Word, Excel, Power point)
• Able to travel frequently and for extended period to provincial areas
