Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration, Economics, or a related field.
• At least 3-5 years of progressive experience in SME or commercial credit underwriting, credit risk, or lending
• Strong expertise in financial statement analysis, cash flow assessment, credit structuring, and SME lending.
• Strong analytical, decision-making, communication, and stakeholder management skills.

Responsibilities

• Assess complex SME credit proposals by analyzing financial statements, cash flows, business performance, industry outlook, collateral, and borrower repayment capacity.
• Develop and refine underwriting policies to improve efficiency and portfolio performance.
• Collaborate with Business Development, Credit Risk, Collections, Legal, Compliance, and Operations for seamless credit solutions.
• Monitor portfolio quality, underwriting trends, and risk indicators; recommend mitigation strategies.
• Ensure compliance with BSP regulations and governance standards.
• Lead process improvements, digital initiatives, and productivity enhancements to speed turnaround.
• Mentor and develop a high-performing underwriting team with accountability and learning.
• Prepare portfolio insights, credit reports, and recommendations for senior management.

• Assess complex SME credit proposals by analyzing financial statements, cash flows, business performance, industry outlook, collateral, and borrower repayment capacity.
• Establish, review, and enhance underwriting policies, procedures, and credit assessment frameworks to improve efficiency and portfolio performance.
• Partner closely with Business Development, Credit Risk, Collections, Legal, Compliance, and Operations to deliver seamless credit solutions and exceptional customer service.
• Monitor portfolio quality, underwriting trends, and key risk indicators, recommending strategies to mitigate emerging credit risks.
• Ensure compliance with internal policies, Bangko Sentral ng Pilipinas (BSP) regulations, and governance standards.
• Drive continuous process improvements, digital initiatives, and productivity enhancements to improve turnaround times and customer experience.
• Develop, mentor, and lead a high-performing underwriting team by fostering a culture of accountability, collaboration, and continuous learning.
• Prepare portfolio insights, credit reports, and recommendations for senior management and credit committees.
