Job summary

Salmon Group is seeking an experienced Senior Underwriter to design and document the end-to-end MSME underwriting framework, including credit policy, risk appetite, scoring methodology, and delegation of authority matrix.

The role will define standardized credit assessment criteria for term loans, with extensibility to RCL and cash flow-based products, and establish approval workflows, escalation paths, and documentation standards for credit decisions.

Qualifications

• Minimum 5 years of MSME/SME credit underwriting experience
• Experience building or rebuilding underwriting functions and processes
• Strong knowledge of financial statement analysis, cash flow-based lending, and collateral assessment
• Experience in SEA or emerging markets banking/insurance
• Ability to coach and develop underwriting teams
