Job summary

Procter & Gamble in Manila is seeking a Site Reliability Engineer (SRE) in Warehousing IT Operations – Incident Response Team. You will lead incident response, ensure availability, and collaborate with software engineers, DevOps, and site customers to maintain high-performing systems.

Qualifications

• 3-6 years experience in system administration, including Linux/Unix environments, cloud platforms (AWS/Azure/GCP) and SAP.
• Experience with configuration management tools and infrastructure-as-code frameworks (Terraform).
• Proficiency in at least one programming language (Python, C#) and scripting for automation tasks.
• Understanding of networking, load balancing, DNS and monitoring/observability tools (Prometheus, Grafana).
• Familiarity with containerization (Docker, Kubernetes) and databases; SQL knowledge.
• Knowledge of incident response methodologies and security best practices; warehousing systems a plus.

Responsibilities

• Lead incident response efforts, swiftly resolving critical incidents to minimize downtime and user impact.
• Implement effective incident management processes with clear communication and documentation.
• Conduct root cause analysis, implementing preventive measures and driving continuous improvement.
• Ensure high availability through monitoring, alerting, and automated incident response systems.
• Optimize system architecture for performance, scalability and fault tolerance.
• Collaborate cross-functionally to design and implement resilient systems using best practices.
• Implement comprehensive monitoring solutions and manage monitoring tools for actionable alerts.
• Continuously improve monitoring strategies to boost system visibility and resource use.
• Stay updated with industry trends and share knowledge; mentor team members.
