Job summary

8x8 International Philippine Branch Office is seeking a Site Reliability Engineer to join the UC Operations team. You will own platform reliability across global UC infrastructure and drive proactive incident response in collaboration with NOC and Engineering.

We look for 3+ years in SRE or infrastructure, strong Linux administration, cloud experience (OCI/AWS/GCP/Azure), and Python or Bash scripting. Hybrid work arrangement; US business hours; office in Taguig.

Qualifications

3+ years in a site reliability, platform operations, or infrastructure engineering role.
Solid Linux systems administration: multi-service distributed systems and network diagnostics.
Hands-on experience with at least one major cloud provider (OCI, AWS, GCP or Azure).
On-call experience: calm under pressure and clear communication during incidents.
Scripting in Python or Bash to automate tasks or parse logs.
Familiarity with SRE concepts: SLIs, SLOs, error budgets, toil measurement.
AI-forward mindset; use of AI tools to accelerate diagnostics.

Responsibilities

Own platform reliability across global UC infrastructure and drive incident response.
Triage and resolve complex issues and escalate to NOC when needed.
Execute maintenance, certificate renewals, log rotation and related tasks.
Lead blameless post-mortems with real follow-through.
Collaborate with Support, Sales, NOC, Professional Services and Engineering.
Define and track SLIs/SLOs/SLAs and build dashboards (Grafana, OCI Log Analytics).
Build automation to reduce toil; participate in 2-week sprints.
Address security issues as they arise and treat as first-class work.
