8x8, Inc. Manila seeks a Senior Site Reliability Engineer to own production operations, drive incident response, and improve platform reliability for global UC infrastructure. You will automate toil, design tooling, and mentor teammates while collaborating across engineering and support teams.

The role emphasizes blameless post-mortems, data-driven decisions, and leadership in reliability and automation initiatives within a fast-paced SaaS environment.

Qualifications

• 6+ years in site reliability or infrastructure engineering with production systems at scale.
• Strong Linux systems administration, multi-service environments, and log analysis.
• Hands-on cloud experience across major providers (OCI/AWS/GCP/AZ) and familiarity with networking basics.
• Calm under pressure with clear incident communication and leadership during on-call.
• Scripting in Python or Bash to automate tasks and modify tooling safely.
• Experience with post-mortems, SRE concepts (SLIs/SLOs), and error budgets.
• Demonstrated technical leadership and mentoring of engineers; AI tooling mindset.

Responsabilités

• Production Operations & Incident Response; own platform reliability across UC infrastructure.
• Triage and resolve complex issues; serve as senior escalation for NOC and engineers.
• Automate toil, runbooks, maintenance tasks; design tooling and automation strategies.
• Lead blameless post-mortems and drive corrective actions; align with architectural roadmap.
• Collaborate with Support, Sales, NOC, and Engineering; communicate production events clearly.
• Feed operational insights into engineering; translate events into actionable bug reports.
• Participate in 2-week sprints; define specs for large features and test plans.
• Address security issues, define and track SLIs/SLOs/SLAs, and manage dashboards.
