Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering is required.
• Professional Licensure (Board/PRC) is required or completed.
• Minimum 2 years of experience in architectural finishing works.
• Experience in project management or similar construction roles is needed.
• Background in high-end residential/high-rise fit-out projects is advantageous.

Responsibilities

About the role

The Site Engineer acts as the project manager and primary technical advisor on-site, bearing responsibility for all construction activities. Their role is to ensure that design plans are accurately implemented, work is completed to specifications, and the project adheres to quality standards, budget constraints, and the agreed-upon schedule. They effectively bridge the gap between design plans and on-the-ground execution.

Key responsibilities

• Set out, level, and survey the site, determining the precise location for all infrastructural installations based on designs and plans
• Act as the main technical advisor, checking and interpreting plans, drawings, and quantities for calculation accuracy
• Monitor construction activities and perform quality control inspection to ensure compliance with plans and specifications
• Oversee all physical construction activities on site and supervise the site labor force and subcontractors
• Plan the work, efficiently organize the site facilities, and draw up work schedules to meet agreed deadlines
• Oversee the selection, requisition, and management of materials, equipment, and human resources
• Ensure strict adherence to all health and safety protocols and legislation
• Monitor project costs and assist in managing the project within budget constraints
• Communicate and liaise effectively with all stakeholders and participate in scheduled meetings
• Prepare daily, weekly, and monthly construction activity reports and maintain accurate project documentation

About you

• Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering
• Professional License (Passed Board/Professional License Exam)
• At least 2 years experience in Architectural Finishing works
• Experience in Project Management or similar role within the construction industry
• Background in high-end construction and/or fit-out projects (residential and high-rise) with experience in both Structural and Architectural works is an advantage
• Sound knowledge of engineering, construction, and design principles, including familiarity with relevant codes and legislation
• Excellent organizational, planning, and project management skills
• Ability to apply logical and critical thinking to interpret designs, calculate quantities, and resolve on-site issues
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
• Proficiency in AutoCAD, MS Office Applications, and SketchUp
