Job summary

HAL (Holland America Line) is seeking an Assistant Department Head for Hotel Facilities in the Philippines - UPL. The role requires leadership in cruise ship housekeeping, overseeing accommodations, public areas and laundry operations.

The incumbent will assist the Executive Housekeeper in organizing and managing daily onboard housekeeping activities, ensuring compliance with health and safety standards, and coordinating with Guest Services for guest requests.

Qualifications

• Minimum 1-year leadership experience in the Hospitality Industry showing progressive growth in responsibility.
• Preferred 1 year of shipboard experience within the Housekeeping Services environment.
• Able to work well and communicate effectively with both shipboard personnel.

Responsibilities

• Oversee daily operations of the Housekeeping department on board.
• Support and enforce policies, procedures and best practices throughout the department.
• Manage daily activities of onboard Housekeeping operations as assigned.
• Lead pre-shift meetings and coordinate with Supervisors and team members.
• Prepare work schedules within regulatory parameters and obtain approval.
• Monitor performance to meet HAL standards and safety guidelines.
• Coordinate with Guest Services to handle guest requests and complaints.
• Maintain inventory of cleaning equipment, uniforms, and supplies.
