Job summary

Aboitiz Foods is an integrated regional food and agribusiness company focused on integrity, teamwork, innovation and responsibility. The Iligan flour mill role ensures equipment reliability, safety and efficiency through troubleshooting, monitoring and calibration during shifts.

Responsibilities include calibration, vibration/thermal checks, and overseeing unloading while adhering to food safety standards. Requires a BS mechan. eng. and at least 1 year in industrial maintenance.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical Engineering (BSME) is required.
• Licensed Mechanical Engineer (LME) licensure is preferred.
• Minimum 1 year in industrial mechanical maintenance or related operations.
• Proficient in reading mechanical/electrical schematics and electro-pneumatic troubleshooting.
• Experience with vibration analysis, thermal imaging, and instrument calibration.

Responsibilities

• Troubleshooting & Maintenance: lead emergency repairs during shift disruptions and perform root-cause analyses.
• Condition-Based Monitoring: conduct routine vibration monitoring and thermal imaging to detect abnormalities.
• Shift Operations & Unloading: oversee mechanical performance during raw material unloading.
• Projects & Materials: design cost-effective improvements and coordinate with planners for spare parts.
• Safety & Compliance: maintain records and follow 5S, GMP, HACCP, Halal and ISO food safety policies.

Job Description

Role Overview

Ensure maximum equipment reliability, safety, and operational efficiency during shift operations at our Iligan flour mill. You will execute real-time mechanical troubleshooting, condition-based monitoring, equipment calibrations, and raw material unloading operations while adhering to strict quality and food safety standards.

Key Responsibilities

Troubleshooting & Maintenance:Lead immediate emergency repairs during shift disruptions to eliminate production downtime. Perform equipment calibrations and root-cause analyses for chronic mechanical faults.

Condition-Based Monitoring:Conduct routine vibration monitoring and thermal imaging. Analyze operational performance data to catch potential abnormalities before failures occur.

Shift Operations & Unloading:Oversee mechanical performance during raw material unloading, ensuring equipment operates at peak feed rates without exceeding time limits.

Projects & Materials:Design cost-effective improvement projects, assist with mechanical installations, and coordinate with planners to ensure necessary spare parts are available.

Safety & Compliance:Maintain engineering records and strictly adhere to5S, GMP, HACCP, Halal, and ISOfood safety and quality policies.

Qualifications

Education:Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical Engineering (BSME).

Licensure:Registered/Licensed Mechanical Engineer (LME).

Experience:Minimum of 1 year in industrial mechanical maintenance, manufacturing, or processing plant operations.

Technical Skills:

Proficient in interpreting mechanical/electrical schematics and troubleshooting electro-pneumatic systems.

Experience with vibration analysis, thermal imaging, and instrument calibration.

Strong communication skills and basic computer literacy for shift reporting.

Work Conditions:Willing to work shift schedules, handle night calls for emergencies, and work in an active flour mill environment (exposure to dust, noise, and mechanical hazards; PPE provided).
