Hewlett Packard Enterprise Development LP seeks an experienced Services & Software Subscription Solution Architect to lead end-to-end architecture across a unified platform for subscriptions and SaaS products. You will shape data models, integration patterns, and design governance while coordinating with business, product, and IT teams.
You will drive architectural decisions, support migration from legacy systems, and ensure scalable, enterprise-wide solutions in a complex, global program.
This role has been designed as 'Hybrid' with a requirement that you will work on average 2 days per week from an HPE office.
Hewlett Packard Enterprise is the global edge-to-cloud company advancing the way people live and work. We help companies connect, protect, analyze, and act on their data and applications wherever they live, from edge to cloud, so they can turn insights into outcomes at the speed required to thrive in today’s complex world. We make bold moves, together, and are a force for good. If you are looking to stretch and grow your career our culture will embrace you. Open up opportunities with HPE.
HPE’s acquisition of Juniper Networks is one of the most significant moves in the company’s history, bringing two networking leaders together to build HPE Networking, with the ambition of creating the best networking business on the planet. This role sits at the center of that effort as part of the Lead-to-Cash (L2C) program, responsible for unifying quoting, ordering, and fulfillment across the combined HPE and Juniper networking portfolios onto a single platform, replacing fragmented legacy systems with one seamless, scalable experience for sellers, partners, and customers worldwide. As part of a fast-moving, multi-year transformation, the team will stabilize near‑term operations, migrate core platforms, onboard businesses and suppliers globally, and build new capabilities from the ground up. The choices made here will shape how the combined networking business operates for years to come. You will work closely with business leaders, IT architects, suppliers, and partner stakeholders on a program with direct executive visibility, solving integration challenges at a scale few companies ever attempt. For the right person, this is a rare opportunity to help build a new business unit from its earliest days, rather than inherit someone else’s systems. You will gain hands‑on exposure to enterprise‑scale platform integration and cross‑functional program leadership, with the kind of complexity and pace that can accelerate your career. If you want your work to have a visible impact on a company making a significant investment in its future, this is where that happens.
Workstream‑Specific Details Responsibilities Own the end‑to‑end solution architecture for services and software subscription offers across the combined HPE and Juniper portfolios, spanning quote, order, fulfillment, entitlement, and renewal. Translate subscription and SaaS commercial constructs — term, usage‑based, committed‑consumption, co‑term, and mid‑term change — into platform‑level design on the target L2C stack. Design and document subscription data models, product/offer structures, and integration patterns between CPQ, order management, entitlement, billing, and asset management systems. Partner with business, product, and pricing leaders to pressure‑test offer designs for feasibility, then define the architecture runway required to deliver them. Lead design reviews and architecture decision records; resolve cross‑workstream dependencies and drive alignment with enterprise architecture standards. Guide migration of subscription and support contracts from fragmented legacy systems onto the unified platform, including data mapping, reconciliation, and cutover design. Support build and test teams as the design authority — clarifying intent, reviewing configuration, and triaging defects that trace to architectural decisions. Identify and elevate architectural risks, technical debt, and scalability constraints with recommended mitigations to program leadership.
Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Engineering, Information Systems, or a related field; advanced degree an asset. 10+ years of experience in enterprise solution or application architecture, with at least 5 years focused on Lead‑to‑Cash, CPQ, order management, or subscription billing platforms. Demonstrated experience architecting services and software subscription offers (SaaS, term license, consumption‑based, and support/services contracts) at enterprise scale. Hands‑on delivery experience with platforms such as SAP S/4HANA, Salesforce CPQ, Oracle, Zuora, or comparable subscription and order management systems. Track record on large‑scale transformation, ERP/CRM migration, or post‑merger integration programs, including legacy data migration and cutover. Experience operating in a global, matrixed environment with onshore/offshore delivery teams. Relevant architecture or platform certifications (e.g., TOGAF, SAP, Salesforce) an asset.
Knowledge And Skills Deep knowledge of subscription commercial models — term, usage, committed consumption, co‑term, ramp, renewal, and mid‑term change — and how they are represented in system design. Strong command of quote‑to‑cash process design across CPQ, contracting, order orchestration, entitlement, provisioning, billing, and revenue recognition. Solid grasp of integration architecture: APIs, event‑driven patterns, middleware, and master data management across product, customer, and install‑base domains. Ability to produce clear architecture artifacts — solution designs, data models, interface specifications, and decision records — that development teams can build from. Analytical and structured problem solver, comfortable making design decisions with incomplete information and revisiting them as the program matures. Excellent communication and influencing skills; able to explain technical trade‑offs to executives and business stakeholders in plain language. Collaborative working style with the credibility to act as design authority across multiple workstreams and vendors. Comfortable with ambiguity, shifting priorities, and the pace of a multi‑year integration program.
