About The Opportunity
The Service Consultant is responsible for all phases of a new client being introduced to Dayforce’s system or an existing client upgrading to a new Dayforce processing product. The role works in a project team to provide clients with effective solutions that align with our commitment to reliable, repeatable, and high-quality implementation practices.

Eastern Time Zone | 9:00 AM – 6:00 PM
What You’ll Get To Do
- Responsible for managing projects that vary in nature based on the solution purchased and the complexity of requirements.
- Contribute to project plans and ensure the project is on time, meets and/or exceeds client expectations, and follows internal processes.
- Work in conjunction with resources within and outside of the team to complete an implementation.
- Promote teamwork among those working on the implementation, developing strong working relationships with internal resources, customers, and peers.
- Work independently to resolve project issues and, when appropriate, escalate.
- Demonstrate an in-depth understanding of the Payroll/HR environment, with exposure to sub‑functions such as Finance, benefits administration, labor relations, training development, and technical environments.
- Conduct preliminary client interviews to review changes, needs, and processes required for successful implementation (may include needs analysis, gap/fit analysis).
- Translate business process requirements into configuration requirements for the purchased Dayforce solution.
- Prepare customers for implementation completion, review product processes, assist with pre‑input reports, run interfaces, time & attendance imports, and provide training for the first live payroll.
- Review the Service checklist to ensure the client understands how to enter payroll items not covered during live inputs.
- Test and document custom solutions for customers.
- Design and execute system integration and user acceptance tests.
- Ensure implementation quality by reviewing backend testing, verifying ID/password info, and confirming billing and remittance setups.
- Ensure a smooth transition to the service team.
Skills And Experience We Value
- Bachelor’s degree
- Exposure to basic project management principles
- Minimum 4 years in customer service/consultancy, payroll processing, or project management coordination
- Proficient in Microsoft Office products
- Experience with SaaS/Cloud software; HRIS experience preferred
- Understanding of relational databases, SQL, and XML
- Experience with tools such as Salesforce, SAP, PeopleSoft, JD Edwards, Kronos, etc.
- Ability to implement an HRIS module or similar solution
