ServiceNow Consultant / Developer / Manager
Position Overview
We are looking for experienced ServiceNow Consultants, Developers, and Managers with strong hands-on experience in ServiceNow implementation, configuration, customization, development, workflow automation, and production support.
The ideal candidate must have actual hands-on ServiceNow experience as a developer, configurator, implementer, consultant, technical lead, or solution owner. Candidates whose experience is limited to using ServiceNow as an end user, ticket requester, incident resolver, or platform user without development/configuration/implementation experience will not be considered.
The role may be aligned to different career levels depending on the candidate's depth of ServiceNow experience, technical capability, module expertise, and delivery/leadership responsibilities.

Key Responsibilities
1. ServiceNow Development & Configuration
- Perform ServiceNow configuration, customization, development, and implementation.
- Develop and maintain ServiceNow applications, modules, workflows, business rules, client scripts, UI policies, and other platform components.
- Translate business and technical requirements into scalable ServiceNow solutions.
- Configure forms, fields, tables, workflows, notifications, reports, dashboards, and access controls.
- Perform scripting and customization using appropriate ServiceNow development practices.
- Troubleshoot technical issues and provide root-cause analysis.
2. ServiceNow Implementation
- Participate in or lead end-to-end ServiceNow implementation projects.
- Conduct requirements gathering and solution analysis.
- Assist in solution architecture and technical design.
- Configure and develop solutions based on approved requirements.
- Support testing, deployment, release management, and production implementation.
- Support ServiceNow platform upgrades and enhancements.
3. Workflow & Automation
- Design and implement automated workflows and business processes.
- Identify opportunities to automate manual processes using ServiceNow capabilities.
- Configure Flow Designer, workflows, business rules, integrations, and other automation tools where applicable.
- Ensure solutions meet business requirements while following platform best practices.
4. ServiceNow Modules / Product Lines
Candidates should have hands-on experience in at least one of the following ServiceNow product lines:
- ITSM – IT Service Management
- ITOM – IT Operations Management
- SecOps – Security Operations
- IRM – Integrated Risk Management
- HRSD – Human Resources Service Delivery
- CSM – Customer Service Management
Experience with multiple modules is highly preferred, particularly for senior/lead/manager-level positions.
5. Testing & Deployment
- Develop and execute unit and functional testing.
- Support SIT, UAT, regression testing, and defect resolution.
- Prepare deployment and release documentation.
- Support production deployment and post-production validation.
- Assist with platform upgrades and migration activities.
6. Production Support & Troubleshooting
- Provide technical support for ServiceNow applications and solutions.
- Investigate incidents, defects, and performance issues.
- Perform root-cause analysis and recommend permanent solutions.
- Provide L2/L3 technical support for complex ServiceNow issues, particularly for CL8 roles.
- Monitor application performance and platform health where applicable.
7. Documentation & Stakeholder Management
- Prepare technical documentation, solution designs, configuration documents, test scripts, and deployment documentation.
- Collaborate with business stakeholders, product owners, project managers, architects, and other technical teams.
- Conduct impact assessment for requested changes and enhancements.
- Communicate technical solutions and recommendations to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
Must-Have Qualifications
ServiceNow Experience
- Minimum 2+ years of hands-on ServiceNow implementation, configuration, customization, development, or consulting experience.
- Must have actual hands-on experience working inside the ServiceNow platform.
- Must have experience building, configuring, developing, implementing, or supporting ServiceNow solutions.
- Must have participated in actual ServiceNow projects or production environments.
- Experience must go beyond simply using ServiceNow as an end user.
Applicants must NOT be ServiceNow end users only.
Candidates whose ServiceNow experience consists primarily of:
- Creating or updating tickets
- Requesting services
- Approving requests
- Using ServiceNow as an employee/customer
- Performing basic ticket-related activities
without hands-on configuration, development, implementation, administration, or technical support experience should not be considered.
Candidates should demonstrate experience in areas such as:
- ServiceNow configuration

Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with multiple ServiceNow modules.
- Experience in ServiceNow implementation projects.
- Experience with ServiceNow integrations and APIs.
- Experience with Agile/Scrum methodology.
- Experience working in sprint-based delivery.
- Experience with ServiceNow upgrades and platform maintenance.
- ServiceNow certifications such as CSA, CIS, CAD, or relevant module certifications are an advantage.
Note: Certifications are considered supplementary and do not replace actual hands-on ServiceNow implementation/development experience.

CL10 – Junior / Early ServiceNow Developer
Candidates should demonstrate:
- Hands-on ServiceNow development/configuration exposure
- Basic scripting capability
- Experience working on ServiceNow modules
- Ability to execute build/configuration tasks with guidance
- Testing and defect resolution experience
- Participation in ServiceNow projects
Typical experience: 2+ years, depending on depth of ServiceNow exposure.
CL9 – ServiceNow Developer / Consultant
Candidates should demonstrate:
- Independent ServiceNow configuration and customization
- Development and scripting experience
- Workflow and automation implementation
- Troubleshooting and defect resolution
- Experience translating requirements into solutions
- Ability to independently deliver ServiceNow enhancements
- Experience supporting production environments
Typical profile: Mid-level ServiceNow Developer / Consultant.
CL8 – Senior ServiceNow Developer / Consultant / Manager / Workstream Lead
Candidates should demonstrate:
- Strong ownership of ServiceNow modules or workstreams
- Complex configuration and customization
- ServiceNow integrations
- L2/L3 production support
- Platform maintenance and upgrade experience
- Technical leadership
- Mentoring of junior developers
- Ownership of project/workstream delivery
- Ability to lead technical discussions and provide solution recommendations
Typical profile: Senior ServiceNow Developer, Senior Consultant, Technical Lead, Solution Lead, or ServiceNow Manager.
