Job summary

Bayfield Equipment Corporation in Cavite is seeking a field service technician to perform on-site service, diagnose and repair construction machinery. The role covers preventive maintenance, inspections, and troubleshooting.

You will read technical manuals, prepare service reports with parts and labor estimates, assist with commissioning, and coordinate with Parts. Travel to customer sites is required; safety and teamwork are essential.

Qualifications

• Graduate in Automotive Technology or Mechanical Engineering.
• At least 2 years in heavy equipment service or construction machinery.
• Knowledge of hydraulics, electrical/electronic systems, and diesel engines.
• Able to read and interpret technical drawings and service manuals.
• Good communication and teamwork skills.
• Willing to travel and work in field assignments.
• Safety-conscious and able to work with minimal supervision.
• Driver’s license is preferred.
• Willing to be assigned in Maduya, Carmona, Cavite.

Responsibilities

• Perform on-site service, diagnose, and repairs for construction and road machinery.
• Carry out preventive maintenance and machine inspections following established industry standards.
• Diagnose and determine root causes of mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic system issues.
• Prepare and submit detailed service reports, including required parts and labor estimates.
• Assist with the commissioning, installation, and start-up of new equipment.
• Coordinate with the Parts Department to ensure timely access to necessary components.
• Support Service Engineers during field operations to effectively troubleshoot and calibrate machines with the proper diagnostic instruments.
• Adhere to safety protocols and maintain cleanliness and organization in work areas.
• Participate in technical training programs to enhance product knowledge and service skills.
• Deliver reliable and efficient service to ensure high customer satisfaction.
• Keep tools, diagnostic equipment, and company assets in proper working condition.
