Job summary

Cityatate Savings Bank is seeking a Service Head to supervise daily branch service operations, coordinate with Cluster Head and BBG-OSG Head, and ensure compliance with BSP guidelines. The role includes coaching staff and optimizing manpower resources to sustain business operations.

Ideal candidates have a 4-year degree, 3+ years in branch banking operations in a supervisory role, and strong experience in cash handling and branch accounting.

Qualifications

• 3+ years in branch banking operations in a managerial or supervisory capacity.
• Experience in branch accounting, cash handling and operations.
• Graduate of any 4-year course, preferably business.

Responsibilities

• Analyze cash movements to ensure cash requirements and CIV limit.
• Co-Holder of Vault combination with the CSA.
• Oversee ATM maintenance, cash replenishment and load balancing.
• Process term placements, monitor weekly maturities and inform clients prior to maturity.
• Assist BMs for loan referred accounts and BP/Rediscounting/Back to Back loans.
• Review and approve new accounts (CASA/Termed Placement) and rate terms.
• Review and approve branch and inter-branch transactions up to limits.
• Verify and sign negotiable instruments (MCs, DD, RTGS, TT).
• Process RCOCI items and dispose unfunded checks within cutoff time.
• Authorize tellers and perform Mid-Day balancing.

About the role

The Service Head supervises daily service operations of the branch and coordinates with the Cluster Head and BBG-OSG Head to ensure that the branch is compliant with the policies and procedures set by the bank in conformity with the BSP guidelines on internal control. Service Head implements the directions set by the bank enabling maximum utilization of manpower resources; also coaching and training of personnel to ascertain continuity of business operation.

Key responsibilities

• Performs analysis of cash movements to ensure cash requirements are adequately met and maintains the required CIV limit
• Co-Holder of Vault combination with the CSA
• Handles ATM maintenance, Cash Replenishment, and Balances ATM loadings vs daily total printouts
• Handles and processes all term placements, monitors SSA Weekly Maturities, and ensures clients are properly informed prior to maturity dates
• Assists the BMs for loan referred accounts and processes case to case BP, Rediscounting facility and Back to Back loans
• Reviews and approves the number of accounts opened such as CASA and Termed Placement, including roll-overs or termination of account and confirmation of special rates
• Reviews and approves branch and inter-branch transactions up to the established limit
• Verifies, approves and signs MC's, DD, RTGS, TT and other negotiable instruments up to the established limit
• Checks and processes RCOCI items per day and handles disposition of unfunded checks within cut-off time
• Overrides and approves teller's transactions and performs Mid-Day balancing

About you

• Graduate of any 4-year course, preferably business course
• At least 3 years of experience in branch banking operations in a managerial or supervisory capacity
• Experience in branch accounting, cash handling and operations
