Biosite Medical Instruments, Inc. is looking for a skilled, reliable, and customer-oriented Service Engineer to support the installation, maintenance, troubleshooting, and servicing of medical devices and diagnostic equipment.
This role is ideal for engineering or healthcare-related professionals with strong technical skills, problem-solving ability, and interest in the medical equipment and diagnostics industry. The successful candidate will work closely with customers, internal technical teams, and principals to ensure that equipment is properly installed, maintained, and supported in accordance with company standards, safety requirements, and customer expectations.
The Service Engineer shall be responsible for installing, inspecting, testing, maintaining, troubleshooting, and repairing medical equipment and diagnostic instruments at client sites.
The position shall also perform preventive maintenance, calibration, equipment assessment, and technical servicing to ensure proper machine performance and reliability.
The Service Engineer shall provide technical assistance, product support, and basic user guidance to customers, including troubleshooting support and coordination of service concerns.
The role shall prepare and submit complete service reports, documentation, equipment status updates, and other required technical records after each service visit.
The position shall coordinate with internal teams, customers, suppliers, and principals regarding service schedules, technical updates, parts requirements, customer concerns, and after-sales support.
The Service Engineer shall ensure compliance with company policies, safety standards, service protocols, customer requirements, and applicable industry practices.
The employee may also be required to attend product trainings, technical certifications, accreditations, and other capability-building activities as required by the Company, principals, or manufacturers.
Candidate must possess a Bachelor’s Degree in Biomedical Engineering, Electronics Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or any related field.
With at least 1 to 3 years of experience in medical device servicing, biomedical equipment maintenance, field service engineering, technical support, or related technical work is preferred.
Fresh graduates with strong technical aptitude and willingness to be trained may also be considered.
Must have good knowledge of basic electronics, electrical systems, mechanical components, equipment troubleshooting, and technical documentation.
Must be analytical, detail-oriented, and capable of diagnosing and resolving technical concerns.
Must have good communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to deal professionally with customers and internal teams.
Must be willing to travel, conduct field work, and be assigned to service activities within designated areas.
Must be able to work independently, manage time efficiently, and respond to service requirements with urgency and professionalism.
