Job summary

Axis22 is seeking a Senior Bookkeeper for a fully remote role with Australia-focused finance operations. You will manage day-to-day bookkeeping in Xero, handle AP/AR, payroll, and project costing, while ensuring accurate reporting and financial integrity for multiple projects across the business.

The role requires 3–5 years of bookkeeping experience, strong English communication, and the ability to work independently in a remote setting with minimal supervision.

Qualifications

• Accounting or related degree required.
• 3–5 years bookkeeping experience.
• Proficiency in Xero and Xero Payroll.
• Knowledge of Australian accounting, payroll, GST, PAYG, superannuation and leave.
• Experience with AP/AR, invoicing, reconciliations and financial reporting.
• Construction/engineering project experience desirable.
• Ability to work independently in a remote environment.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
• Excellent written and verbal English communication.

Responsibilities
