Job summary

WSP USA is seeking an experienced Wind Engineer to join a multidisciplinary team in the Philippines. You will contribute to wind resource assessments, energy yield studies, and due diligence for utility-scale wind projects, collaborating across disciplines.

The role requires 3+ years to 10+ years of relevant experience, strong communication skills, and proficiency with WindPRO/ WindFarmer / OpenWind / WAsP / CFD tools, plus IEC standards knowledge.

Qualifications

• Hold a relevant engineering degree from a recognised institution.
• Extensive experience within a (Senior) Wind Engineer or similar role in a consultancy.
• 3+ years of experience, up to 10+ years.
• Outstanding communication and interpersonal skills.
• Experience with wind engineering software packages (WindPRO, WindFarmer, Openwind, WAsP, CFD, QGIS).
• Proficient in data analysis, statistics, and technical reporting.
• Knowledge and understanding of IEC standards.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate on the technical design and delivery of projects.
• Deliver wind pre-construction and energy yield assessments, due diligence, and independent engineering for wind projects.
• Assist in scope and budget development in response to client needs and objectives.
• Interface with internal/external stakeholders for proposals.
• Adopt an autonomous working style within a multidisciplinary engineering environment.
• Undertake site visits and field investigations when required.
