Job summary

WSP is seeking a Senior Wind Engineer to lead design and delivery of wind energy projects. You will work with a multidisciplinary team on pre-construction and operational energy yield assessments, due diligence, and independent engineering for utility-scale wind farms.

We value engineers with 3–10+ years of experience, strong communication, and proficiency in WindPRO, WindFarmer, Openwind, WAsP, CFD, or QGIS, along with IEC standards knowledge.

Qualifications

• Hold a relevant engineering degree from a recognised institution.
• Wind engineer experience 3–10+ years in wind resource and energy yield assessments.
• Experience in consultancy; pre-construction or operational wind farms.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Proficient with wind engineering software: WindPRO, WindFarmer, Openwind, WAsP, CFD, or QGIS.
• Strong data analysis, statistics, and technical reporting knowledge.
• Knowledge of IEC standards.

Responsibilities

• Assist in the scope and budget development in response to client’s needs and objectives.

• Adopt an autonomous working style within a multi-disciplined engineering environment.
• Undertake site visits and field investigations when required.

What we will love about you:

• — Hold a relevant engineering degree from a recognised institution
• — Extensive experience within a (Senior) Wind Engineer or similar role, ideally within a consultancy, undertaking wind resource and energy yield assessment for pre-construction or operational wind farm.
• — With at least 3 years and up to 10+ years’ experience
• — Outstanding communication and interpersonal skills,
• — Experience using one or more wind engineering software packages, such as WindPRO, WindFarmer, Openwind, WAsP, CFD modelling, or QGIS
• — Proficient in data analysis, statistics, and technical reporting
• — Knowledge and understanding of relevant IEC standards.
