Job summary

Private Advertiser in the Philippines is seeking a WESM Trader to manage trading activities, market analysis, forecasting, and compliance to optimize energy procurement and market performance.

You will lead daily WESM trading, monitor prices and positions, develop strategies, analyze settlements, prepare reports, and coordinate with IEMOP, NGCP and industry stakeholders. Onsite role in Taguig City.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering or related field; Registered Electrical Engineer preferred.
• 3–5 years of relevant WESM/energy trading experience.
• Strong knowledge of WESM operations, pricing, settlement, and compliance.
• Strong analytical and forecasting skills.
• Proficient in Excel; knowledge of VBA, Python, Power BI, or similar tools is an advantage.
• Able to work under pressure and meet market deadlines.
• Willing to work onsite in Taguig City.
