Job summary

Broadridge is seeking a Senior Trading Applications Engineer to support and enhance critical trading technology across OMS, EMS, portfolio management, market data, and post-trade environments.

This hands-on role covers production support, troubleshooting, systems integration, and platform optimization in a fast-paced financial setting. Collaboration with traders and vendors is essential.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of experience supporting trading systems in capital markets.
• Strong experience with OMS/EMS, portfolio management, or post-trade systems.
• Advanced SQL skills for data analysis and reconciliation.
• Experience coding in C#, VB.NET, Java, or Python.
• Understanding of end-to-end trading lifecycle across front-, middle-, and back-office functions.
• Knowledge of equities, fixed income, FX, and derivatives.
• Experience supporting FIX connectivity and electronic trading workflows.
• Familiarity with APIs, distributed systems, and data integrations.
• Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Provide advanced support for trading, OMS, EMS, portfolio management, market data, and post-trade platforms.
• Analyze and troubleshoot issues across the full trade lifecycle, from order creation to settlement and reporting.
• Perform root cause analysis for trade breaks, allocation failures, booking issues, and data quality concerns.
• Troubleshoot applications, APIs, FIX connectivity, databases, middleware, and data feeds.
• Use SQL to investigate incidents, validate data, perform reconciliations, and support reporting.
• Monitor and support integrations involving APIs, messaging platforms, batch processes, and real-time data feeds.
• Collaborate with market data providers and vendors to resolve technical and data-related issues.
• Review application code to understand business logic, diagnose defects, and support enhancements.
• Develop automation, monitoring, and operational tooling to improve platform stability.
• Support software releases, regression testing, deployment validation, and platform improvement initiatives.
• Collaborate with development, infrastructure, support, and business teams to resolve high-priority incidents.
• Act as a senior escalation point for complex technical and production-related issues.
