Job summary

Jobgether in Spain seeks a Senior Test Automation Engineer (TeamCity) to shape the automated testing platform behind a major developer infrastructure product. You will build tools, frameworks, and automation to enable faster, more reliable releases, with AI for test generation and self-healing tests.

Collaborating with product engineers, you will set technical standards, reduce testing frictions, mentor teammates, and own quality throughout the lifecycle.

Qualifications

• Advanced proficiency in Kotlin or Java; OO design patterns.
• Experience building automated testing solutions for complex backends/services.
• Strong knowledge of testing frameworks such as TestNG or JUnit.
• Experience with browser automation technologies such as Selenium WebDriver, Selenide, or Playwright.
• Experience with build tools such as Gradle or Maven.
• Experience with containerization (Docker/Podman).
• Familiarity with test reporting tools such as Allure.
• Strong Git and testing principles; concurrent programming concepts.
• Experience creating internal platform tools to accelerate engineering workflows.
• Ability to mentor colleagues and influence engineering practices.
• Curiosity about AI's role in testing and QA workflows.
• Strong communication and collaboration skills, English fluency.

Responsibilities

• Evolve automated testing frameworks, infrastructure, reporting, and CI/CD pipelines.
• Eliminate slow, manual, fragile, or repetitive processes, including release automation.
• Develop AI-powered test generation, failure triage, and self-healing tests.
• Partner with product engineering to design, implement, maintain high-quality automated tests.
• Review testing contributions and establish technical standards across teams.
• Investigate failures and flaky tests across test infra and product code.
• Contribute throughout the full product lifecycle from design to release.
• Mentor colleagues and promote engineering practices that improve quality.
• Measure impact of quality improvements and accelerate development workflows.
