Job summary

Hammerjack Pty Ltd is seeking an experienced QA Engineer to plan, execute, and maintain manual and automated tests for a cloud-based SaaS platform. You will work with Product Owners and Engineers to deliver high-quality releases and expand the automated testing framework using Playwright, TypeScript, and AI-assisted tooling.

The role requires strong English communication, 5+ years in QA, API testing, SQL experience, and familiarity with CI/CD.

About the Client

Our client is a leading European healthcare technology company that develops enterprise software used by audiology clinics worldwide. They are expanding their engineering team and are looking for an experienced QA Engineer to help ensure the quality and reliability of their cloud-based SaaS platform through both manual and automated testing.

About the Role

As a QA Engineer, you will be responsible for planning, executing, and maintaining both manual and automated tests across a modern cloud-based web application. You'll work closely with Product Owners and Software Engineers to deliver high-quality releases while expanding the team's automated testing framework using AI-assisted development tools.

Key Responsibilities

• Analyze requirements and create comprehensive test plans, test cases, and test scripts.
• Perform manual and automated testing for web applications.
• Develop and maintain automated test coverage using Playwright and TypeScript.
• Execute API testing and validate application functionality.
• Maintain test environments and investigate test failures, regressions, and environment issues.
• Collaborate closely with developers and Product Owners to ensure product quality.
• Use AI tools such as Claude or Claude Code to accelerate test creation and automation.
• Provide accurate effort estimates and contribute to sprint planning.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of experience in manual and automated software testing.
• Strong understanding of software testing methodologies and QA best practices.
• Experience with API testing using Postman or similar tools.
• Experience working with SQL databases.
• Experience with CI/CD tools and automated testing pipelines.
• Strong automation experience using TypeScript and Playwright.
• Experience using AI coding assistants such as Claude Code, GitHub Copilot, Cursor, or similar.
• Strong English communication skills.
• Excellent analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills.

Nice to Have

• Experience with AI-driven test automation or AI-assisted QA workflows.
• Experience with Azure DevOps.

Working Conditions

• Onsite for 6 months and Hybrid upon regularization
• UK Hours
