Job summary

AIA Philippines is seeking a senior Tax Leader to own and lead the end-to-end BAU tax function for the group, ensuring timely compliance, robust governance, and accurate reporting across life insurance and real estate entities.

Lead audits, coordinate with regulators, and drive IFRS 17 tax considerations in business initiatives while partnering with the Controllership team to manage tax risk and optimize outcomes.

Qualifications

• Education: BS in Accountancy; CPA certification required.
• 10+ years progressive tax experience in tax accounting, compliance and reporting.
• Experience with IFRS 17 and tax audits.
• Strong knowledge of Philippine tax laws.

Responsibilities

• Own end-to-end tax compliance lifecycle across all the Covered Entities.
• Review and sign-off of tax returns, computations, and supporting schedules.
• Ensure alignment between tax reporting, statutory accounts, and financial reporting.
• Drive improvements in compliance processes, controls, and documentation.
• Lead tax audits and regulatory engagements with BIR and LGUs; manage remediation actions.
• Coordinate tax planning and advisory support for business initiatives.
• Oversee Group Tax submissions and be the main contact for Group Tax in Hong Kong.
