Job summary

Nexus Recruitment Group is seeking a Systems Engineer III with deep expertise in infrastructure security, automation, and enterprise hardening. This role focuses on implementing secure configurations, automating IT operations, and strengthening reliability across on‑premises and cloud environments.

The ideal candidate has 5–7 years in systems engineering, strong scripting, and hands-on experience with vulnerability management, SIEM/SOC tools, and multi‑cloud platforms such as Azure and AWS.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in IT/CS or related field.
• 5–7 years of systems engineering experience with security, automation, or cloud infra.
• Advanced scripting experience PowerShell, Python, Bash for automation.
• Hands-on with vulnerability management, endpoint protection, and SIEM/SOC.
• Knowledge of Windows/Linux internals, CIS Benchmarks, and AD.
• Experience with Ansible and Terraform, plus CI/CD pipelines.
• Familiarity with ISO 27001, SOC 2, or NIST is a plus.
• Strong troubleshooting, documentation, and communication skills.
• Certs such as Azure Administrator, Security+, CISSP are preferred.

Responsibilities

• Lead security hardening, patch management across Windows and Linux.
• Develop automation scripts/workflows using PowerShell, Python, or Ansible.
• Manage endpoint protection, vulnerability management, and security monitoring.
• Design, implement, and support secure infra across data centers and cloud.
• Automate repetitive IT tasks, deployments, and configurations.
• Collaborate with IT security, compliance, and risk teams for audits.
• Maintain architecture and change-management documentation.
• Monitor performance and ensure SLA-aligned availability.
• Support incident response and lead root-cause analysis.
• Mentor junior engineers and improve tooling.
