Job summary

Eastvantage Group is seeking a Senior Systems Engineer to operate and continuously improve infrastructure and cloud services delivered to clients. The role blends Level 2/3 engineering with strong service ownership and an automation-first approach, moving beyond reactive support.

You will own complex incidents, implement changes, improve monitoring and contribute to automation, AI opportunities and runbook quality across hybrid environments.

Qualifications

• Demonstrated Level 2/3 infrastructure, systems or cloud engineering experience.
• Ability to own complex operational issues through to outcomes.
• Examples of automation or engineering improvements delivered with measurable benefits.
• Experience delivering changes, migrations or platform improvements with testing and rollback.

Responsibilities

• Own and resolve incidents across Windows Server, identity, virtualization, backup, storage and cloud platforms.
• Participate in major incident response, root-cause analysis and permanent corrective actions.
• Plan approved changes with risk assessment, testing and rollback planning.
• Maintain runbooks, knowledge articles and configuration records.
• Support onboarding, handover and ongoing operational readiness.
