Job summary

Aboitiz Construction, Inc. seeks a Senior Supervisor – Transmission Lines & Substations to supervise daily field construction, ensure work follows approved drawings, specifications, and safety requirements.

You will lead supervisors, foremen, crews, and subcontractors on transmission line and substation projects in challenging environments. Required are a Diploma or Degree in Civil, Electrical, or Mechanical Engineering or Construction Management, 10+ years in relevant work and at least 5 years

Qualifications

• 10+ years of construction experience in transmission lines and substations.
• Minimum 5 years in supervisory or field leadership roles.
• Proven expertise in foundations, tower erection, conductor/OPGW stringing, and substation works.
• Proficient in interpreting drawings, specs, and safety standards.

Responsibilities

• Supervise daily construction per approved drawings, specifications, method statements, and schedules.
• Coordinate site prep, foundations, tower erection, stringing, substation civil works, cabling, equipment installation, and electrical works.
• Direct supervisors, foremen, workers, and subcontractors; allocate resources per priorities.
• Conduct daily toolbox meetings; monitor subcontractor performance, productivity, and compliance.
• Implement look-ahead work plans; monitor progress, quantities, and productivity against plan.
• Coordinate QA/QC inspections, testing, and pre-approvals per specs and standards.
• Enforce HSE requirements, permits, JSAs, lifting plans, and safety briefings.
• Monitor material deliveries, storage, equipment utilization, and report shortages or damage.
• Support pre-commissioning/testing, punch-list clearance, documentation, and energization prep.
• Submit daily reports on progress, resources, and HSE; promote safety, quality, teamwork, and coach field staff.

About the role

The Senior Supervisor – Transmission Lines & Substations is responsible for day-to-day field supervision and coordination for transmission line and substation projects. Ensures works are executed safely, efficiently, on schedule, and per approved drawings, quality standards, and requirements. Leads supervisors, foremen, crews, and subcontractors, collaborating closely with Construction, Project Management, Engineering, QA/QC, and HSE teams.

About you

• 10+ years relevant construction experience in transmission lines and substations

• Proficient in interpreting engineering drawings, specifications, method statements, HSE practices, and quality standards

• Strong leadership, subcontractor management, communication, and problem-solving skills in remote and challenging environments
