Job summary

Hive Modular is seeking a Senior Structural Engineer (contract) to lead steel-frame design and analysis for premium modular buildings in Silang, Cavite. The role blends on-site collaboration with remote work for design, documentation, and review, with immediate start and a project-focused environment.

The ideal candidate will have hands-on steel design experience, direct fabrication exposure, and PH licensure to sign structural plans.

Qualifications

Hands-on experience with structural steel design and fabrication.
Direct experience working with a steel fabricator, including shop drawings, connection design, weld and bolt detailing, and fabrication tolerances.
Residential construction experience is a strong plus.
Proficiency in steel structural analysis: load assessment, member sizing, connection design, and verification of structural performance.
Ability to interpret building codes and prepare permitting documentation.

Responsibilities

Lead structural design and analysis for steel-frame modular buildings.
Perform design calculations and validate design assumptions for safety and code compliance.
Prepare and review engineering drawings and models; coordinate with architects, designers, and project managers.
Provide technical guidance to the team and mentor junior engineers or designers.
Support permitting, regulatory documentation, and continuous improvement of design standards.
