Job summary

Outsourced.ph is seeking a Senior Structural Engineer for an AU client. The position is permanent homebased with a dayshift schedule (7AM-4PM Manila Time). The engineer will design across all design stages, mentor juniors, and ensure compliance with Australian standards.

Equipment and a reliable internet connection are provided. The role requires autonomous work, strong communication, and the ability to produce structural sketches and coordinate drawings with draftspersons.

Qualifications

• Bachelor of Engineering-Civil degree required.
• Minimum 7 years' experience in structural engineering.
• Strong experience with reinforced concrete, timber, steel and masonry.
• Excellent communication and project management skills.
• Familiarity with Australian standards and design processes.

Responsibilities

• Lead concept design for review by stakeholders across design stages.
• Mentor junior engineers and guide team development.
• Coordinate design stages with draftsperson and teams.
• Hold meetings with clients to review progress and gather feedback.
• Interpret Australian standards for concrete, steel, masonry and timber.

Qualifications & Experience:

• A dedicated Experienced Senior Structural Engineer with sound technical skills in Reinforced concrete, Timber, Steel and Masonry.
• A strong communicator and able to successfully manage a project from concept to construction documentation.
• Sound technical knowledge including familiarization with Australian standards.
• Degree qualified with a Bachelor of Engineering-Civil
• A minimum of 7 years' experience.
• Able to provide innovative solutions requiring creative ideas.
• Able to work autonomously in a fast-paced environment and equipped with exceptional time management skills to meet tight deadlines.
• Able to work on structural programs and a clear understanding of technical literature.
• Able to interpret structural models including the ability to derive from first hand principles to validate any assumptions or program outputs.
• Able to work with draftsperson and provide structural design sketches and coordinate drawings.

Tasks & Responsibilities

• Responsible for the concept design for review by the relevant stakeholders across all stages of the design documentation process.
• Mentor junior engineers and provide guidance in conjunction with the relevant stakeholders to assist in the development of junior staff.
• Coordinate the design stages with the relevant draftsperson and or team.
• Have teams meeting with our clients
• Be familiar and interpret Australian standards for concrete, steel, masonry and timber.
• Write up forensic reports including reviewing independent specialist reports - fire, geotechnical engineer, etc.

Work Schedule (Dayshift)

• Monday to Friday (7AM-4PM; Manila Time)

Work Setup (WFH)

• Permanent Homebased
• Candidate's are expected to have a conducive (quiet, distraction-free) dedicated workspace
• Equipment will be provided by the company
• Hired staff is required to have a stable and reliable internet connection with at least 20MBPS for both download AND upload speed.
