Job summary

Solera Corporation in a fully remote role in Mexico is seeking a Senior SQL Server Database Administrator to sustain high availability and performance of our SQL Server infrastructure. You will operate in a follow-the-sun model, build new database infrastructure, and apply updates to ensure security and compliance.

You will also enforce backups, document legacy processes, and coach junior DBAs while collaborating with cross-functional teams to optimize storage and performance.

Qualifications

• 7+ years in highly available SQL Server environments, across virtual and physical infra.
• Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field.
• Microsoft certifications are a plus.

Responsibilities

• Maintain high availability and reliability of the SQL Server infrastructure.
• Participate in follow-the-sun support model.
• Build and implement new database infrastructure.
• Apply updates and patches to maintain a secure and compliant environment.
• Attend incident calls per SLAs.
• Enforce security and compliance policies.
• Ensure adherence to backup and recovery policies.
• Document legacy processes for clarity and efficiency.
• Coach junior DBAs to enhance skills.
• Oversee performance and escalation to tuning team.
• Collaborate with teams to optimize database infra.
