Smart Communications, Inc. in Makati is seeking an independent Internal Auditor to lead SOX 404 compliance reviews, risk assessments, and governance improvements across finance, operations, and IT controls.

You will coordinate internal and external compliance requirements, monitor remediation of control deficiencies, and communicate results to the Audit Committee and stakeholders. The role requires collaboration with process owners and a focus on control effectiveness.

Qualifications

• College graduate preferably in Accounting, Internal Auditing, Finance, Economics, Business Administration, or related field.
• At least 4 to 5 years auditing experience, preferably with at least 2 years in a supervisory role.
• Experience working in telecommunications will be an advantage.
• Preferably with working experience in assessing compliance with applicable financial-related regulations, mainly compliance with SOX 404.

Responsabilités

• Lead compliance activities with financial-related regulations, mainly SOX 404, across planning, risk assessment, and scoping.
• Coordinate internal and external compliance requirements, monitor progress, identify and resolve issues, and report status.
• Monitor remediation of control deficiencies and perform Controls Self-Assessments and Sub-Certifications.
• Prepare year-end closing reports and reports to Audit Committee and stakeholders.
• Develop advisories/guidance and other ad hoc requirements; maintain HighBond SOX 404 tool and databases.
• Utilize applications for reports and dashboards.
